Serengeti Ndutu – The Calving Grounds

Travel south to the Ndutu area, part of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and famous for calving season (December–March). Thousands of wildebeests give birth here, attracting big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards.

More about Ngorongoro Crater

The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking geological marvel located in Northern Tanzania. It is celebrated as the world's largest intact and unfilled volcanic caldera. This immense natural bowl was formed millions of years ago when a giant volcano collapsed in on itself. Today, its floor spans over 260 square kilometers and is protected by steep walls rising 600 meters high. Consequently, this unique geography has created a self-contained ecosystem. This protected environment includes diverse habitats. These range from open grasslands and acacia woodlands to swamps and the central soda lake, Lake Magadi. Because of this, the Ngorongoro Crater supports one of the highest concentrations of permanent wildlife in Africa. It is, therefore, a true natural wonder and a vital UNESCO World Heritage Site.

More about Serengeti National Park

As a safari company, Leyu Tours believes that Serengeti is a truly special destination for its clients. The Serengeti National Park is known for its vast plains and an abundance of wildlife, including the Big Five, which make it a perfect destination for game drives and animal viewing. Our guests can enjoy guided tours through the park with knowledgeable and experienced guides, who will provide insightful information about the park's flora and fauna. In addition, guests can witness the annual wildebeest migration, one of the most spectacular wildlife events on earth. Leyu Tours ensures that guests have a memorable experience in Serengeti, and we strive to make it the highlight of their African safari adventure.
